Madrid completed the signing of Ceballos from Real Betis on a six-year deal on Friday, beating league rivals Barcelona, who also expressed an interest.

The Real Betis prodigy eventually opted for the Bernabeu though, with Florentino Perez and co. even agreeing to pay 17 million Euro for Ceballos' services, despite the fact that his buyout clause was set at just 15 million.

"You cannot imagine the pride and responsibility I feel at having joined Real Madrid", he wrote via social media.

'I will give my all to make this club's history even greater.

Ceballos will join the team on their pre-season tour of the United States, according to a Real Madrid statement.

Along with Marco Asensio, Isco, Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane, Borja Mayoral and Morata, if he stays then there would be a core group of players who have not yet reached their potential and could help prolong the success that Los Meringues enjoyed last term.

The capital club paid a reported €18 million for the capture of the midfielder named Player of the Tournament in the European Under-21 Championship with Spain this summer.

As we all know, Ceballos clearly preferred a move to Los Blancos following the official announcement and it seems Real are determined to keep him at the club for a very long time.
