While details were not announced, Milan reportedly is paying a 17-million euro (US$20 million) transfer fee plus an eventual 3 million euros more in potential bonuses.

He is Milan's ninth signing of the summer, the Rossoneri's new Chinese owners having already funded the purchases of Andre Silva, Ricardo Rodriguez, Hakan Calhanoglu, Andrea Conti, Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Fabio Borini and, most notably, Leonardo Bonucci.

He first joined Lazio in 2013 with a €8.4m deal from RSC Anderlecht, but was into the final year of his contract. Milan has finished outside the top five for the last four seasons.
